Office Manager
I have had no more rewarding career than I have here at Family EyeCare Associates.
I’ve been fortunate enough to call Family EyeCare Associates my home for over 7 years now and learned very early on that whether you’re a member of the staff or one of the many, happy patients that walk through the door, you truly are treated like family. We see patients of all ages – from 6 months to over 100 years old and love to see the joy on the faces of patients who may be seeing through their first pair of glasses and can see things they may have never seen before! I can’t imagine working in any other field. I have been in eyecare related fields for over 13 years and have done everything from reception to billing and now have the honor of managing Dr. Garlick’s practice and carrying on the practice philosophy of doing what is best for the patient.
When I’m not at work I enjoy reading, cooking & baking, playing with my crazy dogs and spending time with my family & friends.
Diana
Optician
I have worked in the optical field now for 8+ years and I love what I do. I decided to become an optician because helping others obtain the best vision possible is a beautiful privilege. Part of my work is helping patients select the best frame style and lens add-ons to suit their needs and budgets, inspecting glasses to ensure they meets our high standards and helping low vision patients with their needs. I get very excited when we have little ones in the office and when a first time wearer sees the world in a whole new light! If your first language is Spanish, I’m here to help you. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, so I am fluent in English and Spanish.
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband, singing and watching baseball games. Go Mariners!
Camilla
Billing Coordinator
The healthcare field has been an important part of my life since I was 14 when I began working in my Dad’s chiropractic office. I have been the billing coordinator at Family EyeCare Associates since early 2017 and have loved every minute of it! As billing coordinator, my goal is to make sure patients fully understand their medical and vision benefits and to ensure that patients receive balance statements for services in a timely manner. I am always willing to work with patients who find themselves in difficult circumstances. If you have any questions about insurance or benefits, call and ask for me anytime!
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, cooking, playing the piano, and reading.
Jim
Licensed dispensing optician
I’ve worked in the optical field as a licensed optician for over 26 years. For the last 4 years I’ve had the privilege of working with the amazing team at Family EyeCare Associates. I believe eyeglasses are unique as they can combine health and fashion in equal measure. It’s my goal to have patients not only “see good’ and “look good”, but also to feel good about their glasses and their overall experience at Family EyeCare Associates.
When I’m not helping patients select the best eyewear, making sure finished jobs meet our high quality standards, or attempting to bring damaged frames back to life I enjoy listening to and making music, reading, exploring nature, and spending time with family.
Amanda
After a long history of customer care and service, my vision for a career was always to work with people. I get to do that and connect with the best patients in the world here at Family EyeCare Associates.
I was born and raised in Texas but relocated to the PNW in 2011. I can’t imagine living anywhere else now! When I’m not at work, you can catch me on a soccer pitch being a soccer mom for my daughter or with my husband watching the Seattle Sounders.

Patient Services
Although I have only been at Family Eyecare Associates for a short time, it truly feels like family! (Well, partly because Wendy actually IS my sister!) Although this is my first job in optometry, I have been in the eyecare related field for over 15 yrs. I feel my knowledge of insurance and claims brings a great balance to my position. I didn’t realize just how much I missed the face to face with patients until I came here. I can guarantee that you will always walk into this practice to smiling faces! In my off time, I love spending time with my husband, children, grandchildren and family. Whenever possible I love to put on my roller skates!
